FRIDAY TIDBIT: EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) Valve

EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) Valve
The EGR Valve is an emissions devise. It recirculates exhaust gas back into the intake to take up space in the combustion chamber so the fire is not as hot. By doing that, it reduces the amount of nitrous oxides (or NOx) coming out of the exhaust pipe. NOx that is released into the atmosphere becomes low level ozone and that is what the brown haze is that looms over the city.
