FRIDAY TIDBIT: Mass Air Flow Sensor

Mass Air Flow Sensor
The mass air flow sensor uses small wires that sense the amount of air moving across them. They in turn tell the computer how long to open the injectors for the fuel to go into the engine.

The most common reason we see them go bad is from bad, incorrect, or cheap air filters letting dirt get onto the sensor wires and then it can't measure the air correctly.
