Bendix Brake Bounce Back Special

Come into our shop any time between now and May 31st, and receive a coupon worth up to $30 for a future visit!

Here is what you need to know:

• Brake job must be done in our shop between April 1st 2011 and May 31st 2011
• The amount of coupon you will receive depends on what you have done:
• Brake pad or shoes: worth $10 per axle (up to $20 maximum)
• Brake drums or rotors: worth $5 per axle (up to $10 maximum)
• We will present you with a form that you will mail in, along with our service receipt dated April 1st to May 31st.
• The forms must be postmarked by June 30th 2011, and received by July 15th 2011.
• Limit one service voucher per household
• Bendix will mail you a coupon good for up to $30 to be used at a future visit with Gines Auto Service.

FRIDAY TIDBIT: Master Cylinder

The master cylinder is the main part of the hydraulics for the brakes.  When you step on the brake pedal it pushes a rod into the master cylinder which is full of fluid.  That pushes the fluid out to each wheel and applies the brakes.

FRIDAY TIDBIT: Mufflers



Muffler

 Mufflers are designed to reduce the noise from the engine. They have chambers in them that the exhaust must pass through, and that cuts down on the noise of the engine running.

With the different chambers they can be restrictive at high engine rpm's, so many people with high performance engines replace the stock mufflers with high flow mufflers.
